| What did you learn with this action?: | I learned that Floyd commanded a group of 10 soldiers. He died either in the capture or the later defense of the town of Montegiorgio, and was awarded with a Bronze and Silver Star apiece, as well as the Purple Heart. |
| What inspired you about this individual to do something in your life to make a difference?: | Floyd was only a couple of years older than I am right now when he died. It made me think that right now I take so much for granted and that I can die any day. Therefore, I like to think that this experience has inspired me to make a difference in this world, and to die for what I believe to be a worthy cause. |
