What did you learn with this action?: | He was awarded the Silver Star, the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart during his time of service. He was survived by his wife and two sons to whom he wrote a letter to shortly before his death encouraging them to be brave and to be leaders. He was a leader in and out of the Army. Growing up he was an Eagle Scout, captain of his high school football team, top of his graduating class as well as a top ranked athlete. He lead his company during the last two weeks of his life and died bravely and fearlessly. |
